Road crews will begin work preparing for resurfacing work along Ring Road in Elizabethtown and along US 31W through Fort Knox over the upcoming weeks.
Preparation work for a resurfacing project will begin next week along KY 3005 (Ring Road) from US 62 to KY 361 as crews remove pavement markers Tuesday (8/22) night. Lane closures will begin at 7 pm and last through 6 am the following morning.
On Wednesday (8/23) night, the same preparation will be made along US 31W from Illinois Road in Radcliff to Brandenburg Station Road near Muldraugh. Lane closures will begin at 7 pm and last through 6 am the following morning.
Mobile electronic message boards are in place to alert local motorists of these upcoming lane closures. Work is being conducted at night to minimize impacts to traffic.
The following week, paving operations will begin on these two sections.
