The beach at Rough River State Resort Park were closed Saturday (8/19) after higher than acceptable levels of e coli were found in the water.
The beaches are closed for an undetermined time until follow up water sample tests show the levels of e coli are back into the acceptable range. Persons who have been in the water or exposed to water from Rough River should follow recommendations and guidelines by the health department.
The water table has a residential amount e coli levels in the water fluctuate with weather conditions.
