A section of a downtown Elizabethtown street was closed due to a water line break Saturday (8/19) evening.
Water bubbled from the pavement in the 100 block of West Dixie Avenue in Elizabethtown. A water main break led to police closing the street around 7 pm from the Courthouse square to Mulberry Street.
Crews from Hardin County Water District No. 2 were called to make repairs and expected to have the problem corrected by Sunday (8/20) morning. Water customers in the area will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
