Nine of a reported 69 Volkswagens stolen from Michigan were found Wednesday (9/6) off in Radcliff.
Hardin County Sheriff John Ward said, nobody has been charged yet in the case. After receiving a tip from Kentucky State Police, deputies went to a car lot in the 16000 block of South Dixie Highway. The cars in Michigan were part of a group of vehicles that failed to pass emission testing. In all, there were 500,000 cars in the United States and 11 million worldwide that failed the tests, according to reports.
Ward said some of the vehicles have been in the area since at least July. He said he expects even more VWs to be discovered in the county as the investigation continues.
