
Authorities are looking for a Jeep and trailer that was taken from the parking lot of the Hudson General Store in Breckinridge County Wednesday (09/06) afternoon.
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff, the suspect walked into the store around 3 pm CDT Wednesday after leaving a 2002 Hyundai Elantra parked along Highway 401 and asked about a truck for sale. Upon leaving the store, he got into a 2000 Jeep Wrangler that was pulling a trailer and drove off in the direction of Highway 86.
The Jeep is white in color with a black roof and had a Kentucky license tag of 600-LWX. Police said the abandoned Hyundai had Indiana tags. According to a social media post Wednesday night, the suspect was described as a white male , with a slim build, black or brown hair, trimmed facial hair, possibly in a goatee, wearing a white flat bill baseball cap, and white t-shirt. Last seen in Custer area asking for directions to Big Springs.
Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to call the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department or 9-1-1.
