A Caneyville woman was arrested Friday night in connection with stolen cattle.
Kentucky State Police officers arrested Judy Cummings, 45, for receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more. A warrant for Cummings’ arrest was issued Thursday (9/14) by the Hardin District Court. The cattle, that had been reported stolen out of West Salem, Illinois, were valued at $18,489.43.
According to police, Cummings stopped September 5 at the Mid-Ky stock yard in Sonora to pick up a check for the cattle that had been sold earlier in the day. Stock yard officials told her to come back later. RLR Trucking of Caneyville dropped off the cattle. The owner of the company is Mason Ray, who is Cummings’ son, told Cummings to pick up the check.
Cummings was released on bond Saturday afternoon from Hardin County Detention Center
