At least two shots were fired Wednesday (10/4) afternoon at a Lakeview Drive in Elizabethtown as Elizabethtown Police Department officers and Hardin County EMS responded to a call requesting a welfare check.
When emergency responders approached the residence around 3 pm, a single gunshot was heard inside. According to police the shot went through the front door. No emergency responders were injured. A woman, who reportedly lives in the residence, has been taken into custody. Charges are expected to include wanton endangerment.
A perimeter was established and the road closed while police secured the area and sought a warrant to enter.
