Kentucky State Police began an investigation of a single vehicle, fatal collision in Muhlenberg County on Friday (10/6).
According to police, the crash happened around 12:26 pm at the 50 mile marker westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. authorities said a vehicle for unknown reasons, went off of the roadway resulting in a rollover collision.
Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Andretta Dear from Cincinnati, Ohio, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.
Police said four juvenile passengers were in the vehicle and were all injured. Two were flown by air ambulance to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and the other two children were transported by Muhlenberg County EMS to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing.
