The Leitchfield City Council voted to approve Bryan Langdon as Police Chief during a meeting Monday (10/16).
Langdon was named as interim police chief in late August after former Police Chief Kevin Henderson resigned to take an appointment as County Judge Executive. Mayor William Thomason recommended Langdon be the new chief, resulting in the City Council voting 5-0 to appoint Langdon as permanent Police Chief. Langdon said he doesn’t see the need to make major changes in how LPD operates.
Langdon will now choose a new assistant police chief, but he has put no timetable on making that appointment.
