
A soldier stationed at Fort Knox has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in a shooting around 1:45 am Monday (10/23) morning in the 6600 block of South Wilson Road in Radcliff.
Radcliff Police say Gregory Rich, 33, is charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief after police say Rich broke into the apartment of his estranged wife and fired at least five shots, striking a male acquaintance of the woman who was at the apartment.
Authorities said the injuries to the man didn’t appear to be life threatening. The man was transported to University Hospital in Louisville. The woman was uninjured according to police.
Rich was arrested at his residence on Fort Knox.
