Two men were arrested Monday for several thefts in Ohio County.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department had been investigating several thefts in the county, and surveillance video showed a car believed to be involved. A tip led deputies to a home on Shultz Road in Dundee, where a car matching the surveillance video was found with stolen items were found in the backseat.
Two suspects, Jesse Baker and James Royal, were found in the home, and one of the men admitted to the sheriff they had stolen several items throughout the county. Deputies were led to a barn where the men had allegedly stored the stolen items. Multiple items were recovered from the barn, the home, and from the two men.
Jesse Baker was arrested for four counts of burglary 3rd degree, two counts of theft by unlawful taking contents from vehicle over $500, receiving stolen property over $500, and forgery 2nd degree.
James Royal was arrested for burglary 3rd degree, theft by unlawful taking over $500, receiving stolen property over $500, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
