Kentucky State Police detectives arrested and charged 29 year-old Marcus Branden Boyken, of Greenville, with tampering with physical evidence.
Wednesday’s (12/6) arrest stems from the ongoing investigation of the death of Tromain Mackall which occurred back in July 2016. Mackall, 29, of Ohio County, was reported missing July 25, 2016. His body was later discovered inside a toolbox floating in Spring Fork Creek in Grayson County.
Boyken is now incarcerated at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, for other unrelated charges. He was charged there Wednesday by detectives and will remain at Kentucky State Reformatory.
This arrest is the second in less than a week, after police arrested Christopher S. Hill, 33 of Owensboro, with murder, kidnapping (victim death) and tampering with physical evidence. Hill was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro with no bond. Investigators also originally arrested William E. Howard Jr, 48, of Falls of Rough, who remains in jail on related charges in the case.
The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police. Anyone with information about this case are encouraged to call the Henderson State Police Post at 270-826-3312 or 800-222-5555.
