
An Ohio County Man is behind bars after wrecking his car and then pulling out a knife and threatening the driver of another car that stopped to help.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department says 50 year-old Stephen Myers was driving down State Route 1164 when his car left the road and rolled over into a ditch. When the other driver allegedly pulled over to assist Myers, deputies say Myers then pulled a knife and threatened the driver trying to help him. Myers also allegedly tried to get into the other driver’s car, but was unsuccessful.
Myers ran away from the scene only to be tracked down shortly after by deputies. Myers is facing a long list of charges that include: attempted robbery, first degree; four counts of wanton endangerment-first degree; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol; possession of open alcohol container in motor vehicle; leaving the scene of an accident; disorderly conduct, second degree; terroristic threatening, third degree; menacing; and resisting arrest.
Myers was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
