Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal accident in Bloomfield around 6 am Monday (1/8) morning.
Troopers went to the scene in the 4000 block of Kentucky 1066. A 2011 Dodge 2500 truck driven by 37 year-old William D. Cook Jr. of Bloomfield, was traveling west and came upon a patch of ice causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn and strike a tree.
A juvenile male passenger was also in the vehicle and uninjured. Cook was pronounced dead at the scene by the Nelson County Coroner Office. The accident is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
