
The Brandenburg City Council met during their regular monthly meeting Monday (1/8) night.
David Pace, Chairman of the Industrial Authority, gave a presentation to the city council during a closed session regarding a possible new expansion of the Industrial Park. After discussing the presentation, the city council returned to public session and approved a motion to be begin a design phase to extend the sewer system from the Buttermilk Falls to the top of the hill along Kentucky 933.
In other business, the council heard departmental reports and approved a business license for a mobile concession trailer. The council also noted a request to review a possible salary increase for the Mayor’s salary which would become effective in the term beginning January 2019. Council members want to survey the surrounding cities and discuss the item further once the research is complete.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Brandenburg City Council will be held on Monday, February 12 at city hall.
