The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a death investigation after a female was found dead in a car.
Around 8 am Saturday (1/13) morning, a county road worker was checking road conditions and discovered a vehicle off the roadway on Lone Hill Road, in Falls of Rough. The worker discovered a deceased female inside the vehicle, along with the woman’s eight-year-old son, who was in the backseat. Grayson County Coroner’s Office identified the female as 28 year-old Jessica Hansford, of Big Clifty. The child was unharmed.
Authorities found drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Police believe the wreck happened between 3 and 4 am Saturday morning. Hansford’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s office for a autopsy. The investigation remains ongoing.
