The Ekron City Commission met during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (2/6) for their first meeting of the calendar year.
Commissioners did not meet in January due to a lack of a quorum. Mayor Gwynne Ison asked commissioners to begin planning a large item pickup event this spring in during the months of March or April. After some discussion the item was tabled for further action. Commissioner Rob Wilkins submitted his resignation from commission. Mayor Ison asked him to table the request to allow more time to make a final decision.
Commissioners approved the purchase of paint to mark speed bumps and various other cleaning supplies for the city’s meeting room. Commissioner Kevin Wethington will assume the duties of Streets and Roads for Commissioner Rob Wilkins while he’s out of town.
The Ekron City Commission will meet next during their regular monthly at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, March 6 at the Ekron City Hall.
