
Authorities in Grayson County are investigating after a bomb threat was made to Grayson County High School causing the school to be evacuated Monday (2/19) morning.
School leaders called emergency responders around 10:30 am CST Monday (2/19). Leitchfield Police Chief Bryan Langdon said that the situation was under control by law enforcement before 11 am CST and no students were in danger. Police blocked every entrance to GCHS while investigating the threat, and students were able to be picked up from Lawler Elementary School while the investigation of the school premises was being conducted.
Police conducted a full sweep of the building and grounds but no device was found. Law enforcement cleared the scene at around 3 pm CST on Monday afternoon, but the incident remains under investigation. The person or persons will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
