Kentucky State Police arrested a 14 year-old Breckinridge County male juvenile on a attempted murder charge Tuesday (2/20) afternoon.
Police were posted at the school as a precautionary action after numerous unfounded threats related to the school on Monday (2/19). School administrators familiar with the student conducted a search and found a large knife in his belongings as he entered the school building Tuesday (2/20) morning.
Upon further investigation by school administrators, and detectives, the juvenile admitted that he intended to use the knife to stab other students. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was court ordered to be detained in Juvenile Detention until a hearing date can be set. The investigation remains ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
