
The Brandenburg City Council worked through a short agenda during their regular meeting Monday (3/12) night.
City Clerk Amy Haynes reported to council members the new city website is now active at www.brandenburg.ky.gov. The new website allows city water customers to pay their bill online and reserve pavilions in the Riverfront Park. she said about twenty accounts have already used the online bill pay feature. Haynes also reported that large item pick up will take place in Brandenburg on Saturday, April 14.
Police Chief Scotty Singleton reported that at least four burglary cases are being investigated by his department. He said the reports have came from a concentrated areas around Atwell Street and Lakeview Drive. Residents have reported yard tools and equipment being stolen, and in some situations the outdoors sheds were not locked and secured. The investigation remains ongoing.
Mayor Ronnie Joyner reported to the council that the new water tower is up on Lawrence Street. Crews are expected to paint the structure white once the construction work is completed in the upcoming weeks.
The Brandenburg City Council meet next during their regular monthly meeting on Monday (4/9) at 7 pm.
