Members of Meade County Fiscal Court met their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (3/13) night.
The court approved the excess fees from the County Clerk Judy Jordan in the amount of $120,277.88 for the past fiscal year which is a drop in excess funds from $158,000 the previous year. Magistrates approved the 2016 tax settlement from Meade County Sheriff. The court approved the permanent hiring of Kris Reichmuth to fill the Finance Officer vacancy in the Judge Executive’s office.
Fiscal Court approved a short access road along Kentucky 313 near Doe Run-Ekron Road. The state transportation cabinet constructed the access to meet county road standards with a cul-de-sac as part of the completion of the Kentucky 313 project. The court also heard and approved the first reading of an ordinance amending the Solid Waste Franchise Ordinance to include the recent agreements for the facility. They also approved the County Detention Center Procedure Manual which noted no changes.
