Emergency crews were called to a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 60 and Hobbs Reesor Road around 6:50 pm EDT Monday (10/28) evening.
According to preliminary reports, the impact sparked a fire resulting both vehicles becoming fully involved. A male driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade County Coroner and a female driver was taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Meade County EMS. No other details have been released.
The roadway was closed for about two hours as crews investigated the scene. The accident is under investigation by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department.
