
Police say two officers shot and wounded a Kentucky man with a knife while responding to a report of an armed robbery.
Kentucky State Police preliminary investigation revealed Radcliff Police were called around 2:15 am to 101 Navaho Drive on reports of an armed robbery. When police arrived at the scene, they found an individual wielding a knife outside of the residence. After making contact with the subject, he failed to obey the officers’ repeated commands to drop the knife. The subject then charged toward two of the officers prompting officers to fire their service weapons striking the individual multiple times.
The subject was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital and later flown to the University Of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both officers involved were placed on administrative leave. Radcliff Police stated that charges are forthcoming in regards to the armed robbery.
No further information was released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
