A second round of peaceful protests occurred in Meade County Saturday (6/13) night as a movement to support Black Lives Matter resulted in about eight protesters at the Brandenburg Riverfront Park.
Several false reports were made regarding a large group was attempting to come to protest. On the second night of the protest, most of the demonstration was casual conversations between both sides. Several Second Amendment group members were on hand during the evening and night to stand their position of protecting the monument. No attempts have been made toward the Confederate Monument during either night.
The second night of protest was peaceful and no arrests were made.
