
A Guston resident has been appointed to the vacant seat of Meade County Judge Executive by Democratic Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear late Wednesday (9/16) afternoon.
The governor’s office confirmed the appointment Thursday (9/17) afternoon. Leslie Stith is lives in Stith Valley and operates a farm and has other agriculture interests in the Flaherty and Guston communities. Stith’s most recent campaign activity was in 2016, when he ran for the 5th District State Senate seat and lost to Republican Stephen Meredith.
Stith will fulfill the remainder of the current term of the duties of Judge Executive succeeding Gerry Lynn, who passed away earlier this month.
