
Meade County Fiscal Court met during a special called meeting Thursday (6/24) morning to finalize the current fiscal year.
Magistrates approved Judge Executive Leslie Stith to advertise a job posting for an assistant Information Technology technician after Jared Fackler resigned the position. The court approved to proceed for to seek a architect to develop plans to renovate the jail roof and the E911 Center. The project is in the preliminary stages and would be completed in two phases once plans are finalized.
EMS Director Carissa Walters presented the recommendation of Doctor John Vitali to become the new Medical Director for the county EMS service. He was the nominated candidate after review of a hiring committee. Fiscal Court approved the recommendation. She also updated the magistrates that the new ambulance has been ordered.
Meade County Fiscal Court will meet next during their regular monthly meeting to held on special night on July 20.
