
The Brandenburg City Council met during a special called meeting Thursday (10/1) afternoon.
Mayor David Pace informed council members that a single bid for the new elevated water well was received and opened from the Layne Company for the amount of $738,678. The project is on a fast time time in order to use already approved $1 million grants funding by December. Mayor Pace said the project needs to be at least 80 percent complete by December 15 in order to utilize the most of the grant funding. The council unanimously approved the bid.
The council met during an approximately 15 minute closed session for the purpose to discuss future acquisition or sale of real property. The council returned to regular session and voted to purchase property located at 745 High Street for a price of $175,000 plus deed and title.
