
A couple of accidents in Meade County stalled traffic Tuesday (10/6). According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the first accident happened around 8:50 am at the intersection of Kentucky 313 and Flaherty Road when two vehicles collided.
Four individuals were checked out by Meade County EMS but refused transport to the hospital for further treatment. The Flaherty Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
A second accident occurred a short time later around 11:15 am causing the Meade County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 4500 block of Brandenburg Road. A black truck ran off of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver of the truck was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for his injuries. Power was interrupted to some customers as a result of the accident. The Ekron Fire Department and Meade County RECC also assisted at the scene.
