
A 37-year-old Elizabethtown resident pleaded not guilty to the charges of the October 7 killing a Wolf Creek man in rural Meade County during his arraignment Wednesday.
Charles Edward Williams is charged in the murder of 30 year-old Daniel Shane Allen. Allen’s body was found in a garage beside his mobile home.
Williams was released from custody June 1 after serving more than 11 years in prison on felony charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree arson and first-degree criminal mischief.
Williams was arrested and charged October 15 for Allen’s murder. His next appearance is scheduled for 1 p.m. October 28 in Meade District Court. He is in the Meade County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 cash bond for first-degree murder. He faces up to life in prison, if convicted.
