
Kentucky State Police arrested a murder suspect after a high speed chase through four counties.
Kentucky State Police received a request to attempt to locate a man that was thought to be a murder suspect by the Louisville Metro Police Department where a woman was shot on Friday.
At 8:37 a.m. the same day, two KSP troopers were on Interstate 65 at the 58 mile marker when the suspect’s car drove by them.
The troopers attempted to make a traffic stop on the car, the suspect did not yield, and attempted to flee. KSP says he led troopers on a pursuit at a high rate of speed through four counties until he lost control of his vehicle at the 40 mile marker, where he spun out of control, and wrecked off the right side of the roadway.
Stuart Cox, 24, of Louisville was arrested and charged with murder of his girlfriend, 20 year-old Tracy Brock.
Cox was being held at Louisville Metro Corrections without bond. He arraignment was set for Saturday morning.
