A Metcalfe County man was arrested Monday after he attempted to hire someone to help him commit murder.

After multiple conversations, police met 49 year-old Kevin “Scott” Gentry at the Glasgow K-Mart. He gave them a name, photo, address, and $2,500, all to kill a man.
Several uniformed officers were staged in the area and after the exchange they moved in and arrested Gentry with incident.
Gentry is the owner of Scott’s City Limits just off the Cumberland Parkway in Edmonton.
Gentry is being held on a $100,000 cash bond in the Barren County Detention Center.
