Frozen broccoli cuts sold in 11 states are being recalled over fears of listeria contamination.
Alimentos Congelados, S.A., voluntarily recalled 1,800 cases of broccoli sold under the Wylwood label.
They were distributed to stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
The affected bags have the label information: UPC 5193300110.
Anyone who has this product is urged to throw it away.
Listeria contamination causes serious and at times fatal infections in children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.
It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
The company said no illnesses have been associated with the product so far.
