
Kentucky State Police are searching for an inmate that walked away from a work detail in Fulton and may be headed toward the Lincoln Trail area.
According to Kentucky State Police, authorities were contacted by personnel at Fulton County Detention Center in Hickman and were advised an inmate walked out of the sally port of the jail.
Michael Shane Hunter, 40, of Gus¬ton, is described as a 5-feet, 7-inch white male with short brown hair and hazel or green eyes.
Hunter was last wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a tan hat at the time of his escape.
Hunter has a small outline tattoo of praying hands on the right side of his back and an outline tattoo of a sun on his upper left arm.
He is serving time for theft by failure to make required disposition of property, first-degree fleeing or evading police and flagrant non-support.
His escape was reported to Kentucky State Police around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Michael Hunter is also known as Shane Hunter and alias name Riccole Lashawn Baker.
