
The Kentucky State Police received a call on Friday asking for a welfare check to be done on a female and her child at 8500 Cub Run Highway in Hart County.
During the check, the troopers say they say they found an active meth lab and an indoor marijuana grow, along with suspected methamphetamine and some firearms. A 3-year-old boy was also inside the home when the Troopers arrived.
Social Services responded to the scene per the troopers request and removed the child where he was taken to be examined at the hospital.
Six Munfordville people were arrested and taken to the Hart County Jail.
Nicholas Meredith, 30, Danielle Decker. 18, and Laura Bennett, 24, were charged with Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense; Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Office (Meth); Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child, 4th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Offense.
Jacob Staples, 30, was charged with Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense; Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Meth); Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child, 4th Degree; Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st Offense and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
James Staples (48) was charged with Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense and Jeremiah Staples (25) was charged with Cultivating Marijuana (5 Plants or More) 1st Offense and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
The investigation is still ongoing.
