Money from the silver screen is at the center of a scam in Bardstown.
Bardstown police said fake money is being used at stores and to purchase items from Craigslist.
The bills look real at first glance, but have “for motion picture use only” printed on both sides.
Police are advising people accepting tender to check and make sure it is real. Currently, officers are investigating reports involving $50 and $100 bills.
Anyone who receives these bills or has any information about the case is asked to call the Bardstown Police Department at (502) 348-6811.
