A second woman has been indicted in the January slaying of 22 year-old Windell Jones at his Westport Road townhouse in Elizabethtown.
Taliyah Rochea Woods, 20, of Radcliff, was indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on five felony counts. She is the fourth person charged in the January 27 shooting death of Jones and the only person older than 18 years old linked to the killing.
Woods was indicted on complicity to commit murder – capital offense, a Class A felony punishable by 20 to 50 years or life in prison; two counts of complicity to commit first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison, if convicted; complicity to commit second-degree assault, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted; and complicity to tampering with physical evidence, a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison, if convicted.
Woods is lodged in the Nelson County Detention Center on a parole violation.
In April, 18 year-old Monti Lopez-Olivera was indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on the same charges.
Woods and Lopez-Olivera are among five co-defendants allegedly involved in the shooting. Two male teens were arrested in March and are being held in the Lincoln Village Juvenile Detention Center.
Victoria Lam¬bert also is linked to the death. She was listed as a person of interest by Elizabethtown police within a few days of Jones’ death. She has not been arrested, according to authorities.
Jones and another male were inside his townhouse when he was shot in the chest from close range.
Bond has been set at $1 million cash for Woods.
