The body of an Ohio woman, who went missing at Lake Cumberland on Saturday, was found Sunday.
Kentucky State Police said 52 year-old Wendy L. Augustine of West Chester, Ohio was last seen on a houseboat at Lake Cumberland State Dock about 1:40 a.m. ET on Saturday. She was wearing a black skirt, white tank top, gold chain with a cross necklace and rings on each hand. Augustine is described as a 140 lbs. white female with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Her body was found at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday and then identified by family members, according to the Kentucky State Police.
The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources, Boone County Water Rescue and other local agencies helped KSP locate and recover Augustine’s body.
Officers from the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources will be investigating Augustine’s death.
