The Fayette County coroner’s office says a pedestrian on Interstate 64 has died after being hit by multiple vehicles.
The coroner’s office said four different vehicles, including a box truck, are thought to have hit 66 year-old Stanley C. Willoughby of Clark County just before 5 a.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes near the Clark County line.
Willoughby was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office said one of the drivers that hit the man was a pregnant woman, and she was taken to a hospital to be examined.
The crash shut down all eastbound lanes for nearly two hours.
Authorities don’t know why the man was on the interstate.
