The Franklin Police Department responded to a call of a man going around Witt Road trying to sell drugs.
They found 24-year-old Cameron Hammond of Bowling Green and the Toyota Prius that the Warren County Sheriff’s had reported stolen earlier that day.
Police say, Hammond had also tried to burn some items near the scene.
Hammond had the key to the stolen car, the victim’s stolen credit card, along with the merchandise bought with the stolen credit card.
Hammond was taken to the Simpson County Detention Center and is charged with: receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit card reported lost or stolen, theft, tampering with physical evidence and violation of a burn ban.
