
The two victims of a fatal accident near Sonora has been identified as 51 year-old Betty Gatson and 21 year-old Dashana Mainor, both of Louisville.
According to Kentucky State Police, the double fatality happened at the intersection of Ky.84 and U.S. 31-W early Saturday morning.
An eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 25 year-old Billy D. Williams of Louisville, pulled into the path of a northbound 2004 Freightliner crew cab flat bed truck and trailer, driven by 74 year-old Kenneth S. Pritchard of Horse Cave.
Betty Gatson and Dashana Mainor was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
Billy Williams and another passenger in the car, 28 year-old Patrick Gatson, were airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
Kenneth Pritchard was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown with minor injuries. Another passenger in the truck, 66 year-old Gary Lee Dennison of Horse Cave, was not transported.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
