Tommy Mulhall was deemed competent to stand trial in the murder of Stuart Hearall in court on this week.
Back in April, Mulhall was taken to the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center for an evaluation.
According to court documents, Mulhall has the capacity to appreciate the nature and consequences of the proceedings against him and can participate in his own defense.
Police say Mulhall admitted to them he killed and buried Hearall on Christmas 2015. He is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
