The man accused of shooting a Louisville Metro Police Department officer will soon be extradited back to Kentucky.
U.S. Marshals arrested 22 year-old Jacquan Crowley of Louisville on June 16 in Port Orange, Florida at the home of a relative.
Crowley had been on the run since the night of June 11 shooting of Officer Kyle Carroll in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood. Carroll was wearing his bullet resistant vest and survived being shot in the chest. He is recovering at home.
Florida officials say Crowley has waived extradition and Kentucky officials have been notified he is ready to be picked up.
When Crowley will be returned to Louisville has not yet been determined.
