A Bowling Green woman is hoping for justice and her money back after a Maryland man was arrested for scamming her.
Kentucky State Police say on June 2 an elderly woman told them she had been contacted and told she won $2.5 million and a new car.
She was told she needed to pay taxes on the money before she could take full possession of her winnings.
The victim in the case said she sent $164,297.40 to Matthew and Daniel Archer in Maryland through several money orders.
Matthew Archer came to Bowling Green to pick up $50,000 in cash for the rest of the taxes, but was arrested by police at the meeting.
Archer pleaded not guilty to theft by unlawful taking and exploiting an adult in Warren District Court Monday.
His bond has been set at $250,000.
He will appear for a preliminary hearing at the Warren County Justice Center Friday.
