Meade County Fiscal Court met Friday (6/24) morning for a special called meeting with four items on the agenda.
The court opened bids from four lending institutions concerning a $151,879 project for Solid Waste. The lowest interest bid was submitted by Meade County Bank at 2.37% fixed rate for a one year loan. The court unanimously awarded the bid to Meade County Bank.
Meade County E911 Director Mark Bennett addressed the court concerning the need for a new controller console. After about twenty minutes of explanation from Bennett, the court awarded the bid for the controller to AK Associates in the amount of $169,246.25. This was upon the recommendation of the E911 committee after they had considered two other higher bids at previous meetings. The proceeds will be taken from the county’s Commercial Mobile Radio Service fund with $85,000 being paid this fiscal year and the remainder being paid when the installation of the controller is finished.
The court also approved the new Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual, as well as, the regular claims and transfers for the county for the month of June.
