Four western Kentucky state park resorts will receive an estimated $3.7 million in improvements during the next two years, according to state park officials.
The funding is part of $18 million approved this year by state lawmakers and Governor Matt Bevin. Improvements include structural repairs, painting and upgrades.
They said upgrades are planned at Lake Barkley State Resort Park, Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park, Kenlake State Resort Park and Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park.
Work will include painting and repairing the exterior of the lodge and convention center at Lake Barkley park, and lodge repairs and painting at Kentucky Dam Village.
