A two vehicle accident on Sinking Creek Hill claimed the lives of two Hardinsburg women and injured a Guston man Tuesday (7/05) evening.
A westbound 2004 Ford F150, driven by 40 year-old Thomas Orr of Guston, crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Buick Park Avenue, driven by 74 year-old Joyce Basham of Hardinsburg, head-on around 7 p.m.
Basham and her passenger, 50 year-old Lisa Daugherty also of Hardinsburg, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.
Orr was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
