Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of Dealynn O’Connor. O’Conner was found shot to death in her Smiths Grove home June 17.
Kentucky State Police say received information stating Mary Thompson was in a home in Rockfield Thursday. After a standoff that lasted several hours, Thompson was arrested and taken to the Warren County Regional Jail where she was charged with Dealynn O’Connor’s murder.
Troopers say Thompson has several warrants from various police agencies, and a laundry list of charges including wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and fleeing or evading police, which happened during a high-speed chase with Smiths Grove Police in May.
Thompson appeared in Warren District Court on Friday for an arraignment. She remains in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $1 million bond.
Thompson is scheduled to appear back in court on Tuesday, July 12th, at 9 a.m. for a pretrial conference.
O’Conner survived a kidnapping in January in which she was stabbed and left for dead after refusing to jump off the Matthew E. Welsh Bridge in Brandenburg. Five people were charged with that attack.
