A Georgia man has been arrested for trying to obtain prescription drugs from pharmacies around the Louisville area by using forged prescriptions.
The Louisville Metro Police Department arrested 31 year-old Paul Brown Jr. of Morrow, Georgia on July 9 after he used an alias in an attempt to get a forged prescription filled at the Walmart at 175 Outer Loop.
Brown was stopped by police in the same car they observed him leaving another Louisville Walmart on June 29 with prescriptions.
At the time of arrest, Brown was in possession of a ledger containing over 20 forged prescriptions with various names that were all written using the same doctor’s name and DEA number.
Metro police say Brown used the different names and the doctor to fill prescriptions in several counties throughout the Commonwealth.
