The suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Campbellsville woman has been located.
Officials say 36 year-old Rocky Ashby was found and arrested in Shelby County but there is still an active attempt to locate the stolen vehicle.
Police say they received a 911 call of shots fired at 3:59 a.m. and a response led officers to the discovery of 27 year-old Tara Simpson Lamer, who was deceased at the scene of gunshot wounds. Investigation determined Ashby as the suspect.
The stolen truck is described as a Red 1996 Chevrolet S10 with Kentucky license plate 409GNY. It is a single cab, short wheel base pickup with tinted windows and a tint strip across the windshield. It has Corvette rally wheels, an airplane hood ornament, and “Chevrolet” written across the tailgate.
Officials also say at the time of the theft, the truck had attached to it a 4 foot by 6 foot utility trailer with black wooden floors and an X-Mark Pioneer zero turn lawn mower, a red Redmax weedeater, and a red Redmax leaf blower.
