The Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 2-car crash on Coopertown Quality Road Sunday afternoon.
They found that 20-year-old Makayla Williams of Lewisburg had been driving her car west on Coopertown, when she lost control and hit a van heading east head-on.
The van was driven by 79-year-old Alfred Hubbs of Russellville, and 75-year-old Barbra Hubbs was a passenger in the front seat.
Barbra Hubbs sustained serious injuries and was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Alfred Hubbs was also injured and taken to Logan Memorial Hospital in an ambulance.
Makayla J. Williams was not wearing her seat belt and was thrown from her car. She was pronounced dead on the scene by the Logan County Coroner.
The accident remains under investigation.
